Sutter Creek, California, Amador County
Shake Ridge Ranch sits at elevations ranging between 1650 -1810 feet above sea level, set within rolling hills located in the Sierra Foothills, overlooking the small town of Sutter Creek, CA. Its soils are iron, volcanic rich, and layered with quartz, basalt, shale, and soapstone.
This 46-acres of extraordinary micro-climates is owned, impeccably, intuitively, and organically farmed by one of the most talented, coveted, and dedicated growers in Northern California, Ann Kraemer.

Fenaughty Vineyard
El Dorado, California – Sierra Foothills
The Fenaughty vineyard brings a nod to the past and a look to the future.
The Fenaughty Vineyard located in El Dorado in the Sierra Foothills was formerly orchard land, in the Apple Hill district above the Gold Rush town of Placerville. Before there were grapes, there were lots of apples, lots of peaches and nectarines. This vineyard is situated on the North edge of Carson Ridge, at roughly 2800 feet in elevation, with Aiken volcanic clay soils and 40 year-old rooted vines.
This sustainably and organically farmed vineyard sees steep slopes, warm days and cool nights, and bright red iron-rich volcanic soils provide the optimal growing environment.

Miravete Vineyard
Clements-Hill, Lodi
Markus Bokisch has been a leading voice for Spanish and Iberian varietals in Lodi for decades, and I’ve long admired his commitment to farming with intention in the Clements Hills AVA. Through Bokisch Vineyards, he has helped define what these Mediterranean grapes can become in California—always grounded in sustainability, site expression, and a clear respect for the land.
Working alongside Markus at Miravete Vineyard feels very aligned with the way I approach Cary Q Wines—starting in the vineyard, trusting the farming, and focusing on clarity over manipulation in the cellar. Miravete is home to Iberian varietals such as Xarel·lo, grown under Lodi Rules Certified Sustainable practices in the rolling hills of Clements Hills. With cooling Delta breezes, warm days, and ancient red, rocky soils, the site naturally supports balance, energy, and freshness in the fruit.
