We loved our 2019 Shake Ridge Ranch Mourvèdre so much that we brought HOLLIS back. This is a savory, lean, and silky expression of the varietal, made in very small quantities—just 53 cases.

Sourced from Shake Ridge Ranch in Amador County and organically farmed, this wine reflects the depth and character of the site while showing a more lifted, refined side of Mourvèdre. We picked early to preserve freshness, and included 50% whole cluster fermentation to bring aromatic lift and structure.

Fermented with native yeasts and aged in concrete, HOLLIS is built on purity and restraint, and the savory elegance of Mourvèdre in a cooler, more focused style.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, it opens with floral notes of violet and lavender, layered with savory dark berries. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with dense dark fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a silky, refined texture. Subtle spice and mouthfeel carry through from a gentle neutral French oak imprint, adding complexity without overpowering the fruit.
